Meet Matt, Riggs Distler’s Underground Drill Foreman with our Maryland Street Lighting team. During a recent shift, Matt sprang into action when he heard a woman's panicked cries about her car being on fire. Across the parking lot, he saw smoking jumper cables connected to a car and its neighboring vehicle, melting across the fender. Acting swiftly, Matt disconnected the cables from both vehicles and used his truck’s fire extinguisher to put out the remaining flames. Thanks to his quick thinking, further damage was averted, and everyone stayed safe. Way to go, Matt! Remember, safety always comes first – do you know the proper procedure for connecting jumper cables? #heroesamongus See MoreSee Less
