The Nissan plant in Laguna Niguel, California, where Nissan engineers have been working for more than 50 years.
That plant produces more than 7,000 engines for Nissan’s cars, trucks and SUVs.
Now, after a two-year deal, the Japanese company is giving Nissan the power to run more engines in its cars and trucks.
The plant’s powertrain, known as the NIS, is made up of five parts: the engine block, cylinder head, valve stem, cylinder valve cover and compressor.
The NIS can power up to 15,000 pounds of torque.
The engine can also generate a power of up to 4,000 horsepower.
“We can do more with the Nis and we can make it more efficient, too,” said James Peltier, a Nissan executive.
Nissan has been making more powertrain parts for the past 30 years.
The company’s plant in Los Angeles was built by Ford and Toyota.
The Ford plant in El Segundo, California is powered by a two megawatt, six-cylinder turbocharged V-8 engine, which is used in the Fusion, the Nissan Rogue, the Focus and the Leaf.
Toyota’s plant, in Matsuyama, Japan, is powered entirely by the N-series turbocharged diesel engine.
In 2013, Toyota announced it was buying two Nissan plants in the U.S., one in New York City and one in Los Angles, California.
The deal valued the combined plant at $5.5 billion.
“The new Nissan NIS will be a massive leap forward for our industry and the automotive community, and it’s a major milestone in our transformation from a car company to a vehicle company,” said Toyota chief executive Akio Toyoda at the announcement.
“This deal will allow us to continue our transformation to become a global leader in automotive technology.”
Nissan also is working on its own powertrain.
It’s called the EV6, and the company has a long history of building cars with internal combustion engines.
In 2003, it unveiled a concept for a hybrid version of the Nissan Murano that could use an electric motor.
In 2014, the company said it had signed a deal with a Japanese manufacturer that will supply components for its new EV6.
Nissan’s next-generation EV will have a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinders and a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds.

Nissan’s deal with Toyota comes as it looks to expand its portfolio of engines.
The automaker is working to produce its own electric vehicle by 2020.
Toyota is also making a bid to sell its electric car division.
The Japanese automaker plans to sell 5,000 electric vehicles by 2020, with an average selling price of $26,500.
That’s less than the average selling prices of the other major automaker brands, which are all selling more than 30,000 vehicles per year.
Toyota and Nissan have a long relationship.
The two companies share a shared history.
The Nissan plants are named after the Japanese word for “wind,” and the plant in Yokohama, the capital of Japan, was named for Nissan CEO Hiroshi Katō.
The Toyota plant in Japan was named after Toyota founder Masamichi Tanaka.
Toyota has been working with Nissan on powertrain designs since at least 2001.
The partnership is expected to begin in 2020.
The new Nissan and Toyota plant will be located in Los Altos, California in the San Fernando Valley.
The facility will make up the largest U.A.E. Nissan plant.
Toyota had said it would have to raise its $2.2 billion financing package to build the plant, but it has received $2 billion in financing from the Japanese government.
Toyota will spend $500 million to $1 billion to upgrade the plant’s electrical systems.
Toyota also plans to build a new $2-billion plant in China to supply parts for its vehicles, and will spend more than $500 billion to build more than 300 assembly plants worldwide.
The plants in Japan and China will help Toyota meet its 2020 target to reach 500 million electric vehicles.
Nissan and Nissan are expected to be ready to begin selling electric vehicles in 2021.
